Beulah House has the chance to win $25,000, but we need your help. Don’t worry, we’re not asking you to serve barbecue or mop floors (this time). Chase Community Giving is giving $25,000 to the 100 charities with the most votes on their Facebook page. Yeah, the top one HUNDRED charities. You know what that means?? It means that we have a real shot at this, but we very much need your support.
I don’t know if I can stress just how huge $25,000 is to Beulah House. We’re sale shoppers, coupon clippers and thrift store hunters. If we received this money, it would effect our finances (and Judy Epperly’s stress level) in a significant way. Voting ends December 11, so please go ahead and give us your clicks before the shopping, kids, work, dogs, bills, dishes, laundry laundry laundry push their way back into your mind and pull you off into the real world, never to return.

Thank you! No, seriously, THANK YOU. We would not be here if it were not for the awesome support our community has shown.

Beulah House would like to send a special thanks to Nelene Wood for making the Grandparent’s Day fundraiser at the Slate Mountain Presbyterian Church possible. Nelene not only organized the vent, but also made all over the 43 aprons. It was a not only a successful fundraiser for Beulah House but also a wonderful time for the grandparents! Each apron was different, including nail aprons and barbecue aprons for the grandfathers. In total, $241 were raised to help Beulah House continue our mission of providing care and comfort measures for persons who have a life-limiting illness and who do not have a willing and able caregiver.

It is truly a blessing when we can receive the fruits of the community’s kindness and creativity during these hard economic times.

Beulah House would like to thank the community for their support of the Fifth Annual Xpress Market Beulah House Golf Outing. We are constantly humbled by the level of love and support our community has shown year after year.

It seems like such a short time ago that we encountered Stan Moran and the Xpress Market staff and held the first annual Xpress Market / Beulah House golf tournament one cold October day at Draper Valley Golf Course. August 19th and 20th was the fifth – yes, fifth – annual Xpress Market / Beulah House Golf Tournament. A continuous stream of sponsors, supporters, teams, individual players and a whole host of volunteers continue to pull off one of the largest golf tournaments in southwestern Virginia! Over seventy-five teams made this year’s outing the largest yet. A Thursday night Par 3 Shot Gun was added to the two Friday tee offs for a fun and food filled two day event.
A very special thank you to Stan Moran, Xpress Market Staff and Audra Weddle for another outstanding tournament. The sheer number people and local companies who made this possible is a bit overwhelming and inspiring.
Beulah House replies greatly on community support and this tournament plays a vital role in allowing us to continue to care for our neighbors, friends and loved ones.
This is a list of all of the wonderful sponsors and donors that made this year’s outing a success.
